8 Dimensions of God’s sovereignty

Numbers 23:13-30

  1. God is not limited by location
  2. God has made every decision needed to be made and does not regret them.
  3. Balaam offered 7 bulls – a huge offering. He was trying to team up other gods against Yahweh.
  4. Territorial gods are not sovereign. They are limited to the ppl.
  5. God is sovereign no matter who believes.
  6. When you allow ppl to be democratic, they ponder over their own desires.
  7. Psa 113:1 – The worship of the LORD never stops.
  8. God’s not limited to the natural world
    • Balaam is willing demonic forces to curse Israel.
  9. God’s is not limited to non-believers. 23:18-24
    • God humiliated Balaam, He made him speak like a doll. Made him speak exquisite Hebrew peotry.
    • A sorcerer spoke blessings about Yahweh and Israel.
    • This also happens in Mark 3:11 when demons recognised and ran from Jesus.
    • The ungodly will do His will
    • “But as for you, you meant evil against me but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. – Gen 50:20
  10. We can never figure out God. v19
  11. God never changes his mind
    • He never regrets any of his decisions.
  12. God always does what he says
    • He says it and it is done! God created the world by just saying it in Genesis.
  13. No man can overturn His will.
    • Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. – Gal 6:7
  14. He has chosen to bless His people
    • And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. – Rom 8:28
    • God is KING not slave
