Vv2 it is implying you responded incorrectly. Take a step back from your emotional response. Consider it. Under trial the worst of man comes out.
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.

The correct response
Psa 86:1-5 look to God. Remember who He is and that He is good. Cling to His promises.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
